ELAINE STALLINGS FOUNDATION
Elaine Stallings Book Exchange
Mission & Purpose
The Book Exchange is a welcoming, inclusive space where girls and young women can collaborate while reading, dreaming, and exchanging ideas. Our libraries will include titles from various authors and casual seating to discuss books, dreams, and ideas.
The Elaine Stallings Book Exchange provides a safe space to inspire and uplift girls and young women of all backgrounds through reading and the exchange of ideas.
Our Values
Educate. Advocate. Empower.
We educate girls and young women through reading and create a space where they can freely access the information they need for learning, growth, and empowerment.
We advocate for girls and young women by actively working to dismantle barriers to learning and create spaces that are accessible, welcoming, and beneficial for all.
We empower girls and young women to cultivate curiosity and form ideas by questioning the world and accessing information from diverse viewpoints.
How You Can Help
The Book Drive
We are launching a campaign to provide 1,000 books to young women and girls in the newly formed Elaine Stallings Book Exchange Library. You can support this cause by donating funds to purchase new books. The Elaine Stallings Book Exchange hosts monthly group discussions, peer mentoring, and talks by young authors. The girls in the Elaine Stallings Book Exchange have selected a list of books, novels, and series for the 2025 and 2026 school year. Your donation supports our efforts to provide these reading materials in the library so that each student can have a hard copy of their own book.

Elaine was a voracious reader, exploring new authors and genres. She encouraged others to share in her love of reading. The Elaine Stallings Book Exchange is a physical place where women can go to read, dream, and exchange ideas. Our libraries will include titles from various authors, a coffee house, and casual seating for book club meetings and study groups.
